Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fought Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday, April 3, in 15 of the ongoing IPL 2025 matches. Defending champion KKR won last season’s clinical 80 wins, repeating SRH in the final match of last season.

Hyderabad won the match and chose first. Kolkata loses its bottle opener Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine early. Captain Ajinkya Rahane cooperated with young Angkrish Raghuvanshi to stabilize the ship.

The two stitched a crucial 81 partnership for the third wicket. Raghuvanshi won 32 goals in his second IPL half century, while Rahane contributed 38 runs in 27 delivery.

Venkatesh Iyer Rinku Singh takes KKR’s bet toward the backend. Iyer was the highest scorer for home runs, amassing 60 runs with just 29 balls. Rinku also broke into the role of Quick-fir Cameo and remained unbeaten in 32 runs.
