Viddal Riley is stepping up the challenge of Cheavon Clarke winning the UK magnitude championship on Chris Eubank Jr-Conor Benn Undercard, Live Sky Sports Box Office April 26.
British champion Riley was Isaac Chamberlain in an all-London hate match earlier this year just to see his injured rival withdraw.
But one rich comfort is winning the British championship at Totterhah Hotspur Stadium, home to football club Riley.
Clarke is a talented GB Olympic athlete who eliminated Ellis Zorro last year to win the British lightweight title.
The Gravesend boxers made a good decision after that to beat Efetobor Apochi, but lost the European Championship battle in December under a decision in Monaco.
Riley admits he is working hard.
“He is the British champion. He challenged for European honors despite his failure in the last battle and he managed to maintain his position as a British champion. So for me, being a British champion is a suitable fighter, it is the right person. It is a natural level.” Sky movement.
“He is (dangerous). But that’s what makes it fun. If it’s not dangerous, it’s not fun. You get the thrilling side of the fighter. Not everyone has it, but I definitely have it.
“I want a challenge,” he added. “It’s a tough challenge, but one I can’t overcome.”
Clark is a respectable warrior. “He’s exploded,” Riley said. “His strength is his pedigree, and he managed to achieve among professionals and amateurs around the world. He saw a lot of styles. So his experience is definitely one of his attributes.
“He can put it well in the game, and his movements are very dynamic. He is not the biggest lightweight. People tell me I’m not a big lightweight. He’s smaller than me.”
Riley is confident that he can not only win but also beat the British champion in a stylish way.
“I believe I can. I always believe I can get anyone out. Things happened. What I learned in boxing.
“I definitely have the power and skills to stop Chev. We’ve seen him get hurt in the last few battles. So he showed his vulnerability, so I felt like I could take advantage of that and then take it one step forward and get him out.
“Once I go, I usually finish them.”
