Trump’s rates: Hope that the Bilateral Conversations of India-EUA will have a balanced resolution, ACMA says

Trump rates: As the global automatic and automatic component industry looks at an uncertain future with the 25% Trump Administration tariff, the National Association of Automobile Components Manufacturers (ACMA) hopes that the ongoing bilateral negotiations between India and the United States will lead to a balanced resolution, which will benefit both economies.

“ The Indian Automobile Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) takes note of the recent executive order signed by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on April 2, 2025, as part of the “ Liberation Day ” initiative. We understand the intention of the North -American Administration to promote domestic manufacturing and address commercial imbalances, “says Shradha Suri Marwah, CMD Subros Ltd.

“It is noteworthy that the autos and automobiles of car and steel and aluminum cars, already subject to the rates of article 232 to 25 percent, announced above to the order of President Trump on March 26, 2025, are not covered in the aforementioned order.

“ACMA is still expected that bilateral negotiations in progress between Indian and American governments will lead to a balanced resolution that benefits both economies. We believe that the strong trade relationship between India and the United States, especially in the automobile component sector, will promote continuous Marwah dialogue.

The 25 percent rate of car manufacturers will come into force from April 3. 25 percent rate about automatic components manufacturers will enter into force after a month.

At FY24, exports from national automatic automatic components in the United States were approximately $ 6.79 billion. Among the manufacturers of automobile components, Samvardhana Mother, Sona Comstar and Bharat Forge have significant export volumes in the United States.
