Jesse Waters: America is reaching a turning point

fox news host Jesse Waters In his opening monologue on Thursday, he criticized California’s leadership, questioning “who is responsible” for the Los Angeles fires.

Jesse Waters: Newsom slashed budgets for water projects. He blocked efforts to divert water into Southern California and began removing dams. He did not build a reservoir. California last built a reservoir nearly 50 years ago. Instead, they allow billions of gallons of rainwater to wash into the sea. If a fire hydrant stores rainwater, it won’t dry out. Los Angeles ranks last in the West when it comes to conserving rainwater. The whole incident is emblematic of liberalism. It doesn’t build anything. It only destroys.

Gavin should have said the buck stops with me. I’m the governor. I’m doing it. Instead, he accepts no blame… So who was responsible in the early days of the worst fire in Los Angeles history? It’s like the White House. No one knows who is in charge there either. This is so embarrassing. This is very annoying. The country has hit rock bottom. These are the leaders we vote for. It doesn’t get much worse than this. The mayor couldn’t communicate. The governor could not get water to put out the fire. But that’s California politics.

People and businesses have been fleeing California for years. Now you understand why they have problems with drugs, crime, and homelessness. But if you’re a wealthy California liberal, this won’t affect you. Inflation will have no impact. The immigrants took care of your lawn beautifully. Crime will not break through your door. You drive by the homeless. Your money insulates you from liberal governance. so far. America is facing a turning point. We don’t have to live this way. We deserve better.
