A member of Jon Moxley’s Death Knight faction took a huge hit during a major event. The current AEW World Champion will not be happy about his stable’s failure.
Death Knight members are former WWE stars Claudio Castagnoli (fka Cesaro). After failing to advance to the semifinals of the 2024 Continental Classic, Claudio traveled to Japan to compete in Wrestling Dynasty. He was scheduled to play a singles match against Shota Umino at the Tokyo Dome.
Umino is also his close friend and collaborator Jon Moxley in Japan. However, Moxley was one of the reasons for the feud between Shota and Claudio. Speaking of the match, Castagnoli and Umino both put on strong performances in the ring, with the match ending with the latter winning via a Death Knight DDT.
The AEW World Champion certainly won’t be happy about Claudio Castagnoli losing to his former partner Shota Umino. This Wrestling Dynasty match may also have planted the seeds for a future match between Moxley and Umino.
Only time will tell if the 27-year-old, who defeated Claudio Castagnoli at Wrestle Dynasty, will have his final match with the Death Knight leader and current AEW World Champion.
