Ryan Garcia says he doesn’t understand why Bill Haney would push for VADA to be the drug testing agency for the Devin Haney rematch. Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) questions whether people get “Some form of funding cut to use VADA.“
Garcia rejects VADA
Ryan said he would “no way” Use VADA again. This means that if he and Devin (31 wins, 0 losses, 15 KOs) rematched, a different drug testing agency would need to be used.
If Bill insists on using only VADA, his son could miss out on a lucrative rematch with Ryan. Devin claims this is the “biggest fight” in boxing today. However, the rematch may not happen unless another drug testing agency is used.
To Bill, it didn’t matter which agency he used. As long as there’s testing, that’s what matters, especially if he’s worried about Devin getting beat up again. The last time he fought Ryan in 2024, he looked really bad.
That’s a bad thing for Haney because he’s a fragile fighter with chin issues and sooner or later he’s going to get beat up by a less popular fighter than Kingery once he faces someone decent.
“It’s really weird why it’s always VADA. Can we get some other organization to test? Because Bill (Haney) only promotes VADA. He never said anything about any other organization and he was pushing for a certain organization, which is very Weird. You don’t want to do any kind of testing? All of this sounds like there’s some kind of a cut in the money to make people use VADA. That’s just my opinion.” Ryan Garcia said. X He wonders why Bill Haney pushed so hard for VADA to be used in the rematch between him and Devin Haney.
“I’m clean, but I will never use that organization again,” Ryan said of his move away from VADA.
