A baby was born on a crowded migrant boat heading from Africa to the Canary Islands this week, the Spanish coast guard said. It released a photo of a baby boy who was rescued along with his mother and dozens of other migrants.

Venezuela’s opposition said its leader, María Collina Machado, was briefly arrested and then released.
