A top star is finally ready to return to WWE at the Royal Rumble. This is the return that fans have been waiting for. Unfortunately, it appears he hasn’t received an offer yet.

Matt Cardona has made a name for himself outside of WWE since his release from prison, easily becoming the hottest independent star working in GCW and other promotions. The star recently spoke with Ariel Helwani and he announced that he is ready to return to the Royal Rumble.

He said that if his music was popular at an event, whether as Zack Ryder or Cardona, the place would literally explode and the roof would come off the place. He said he had earned the opportunity and was sure of being able to move the goods as well.

“I don’t think I deserve anything… but I think I’ve earned the opportunity to go back. I don’t think it’s okay to say if my music is a big hit at Royal Rumble, whether it’s Zach Ryder or Matt “Cardona, this place is going to explode, the roof is going to come off this place, social media is going to explode, I’m going to move merchandise, I know it,” Cardona said.

Unfortunately, he added, the Stamford-based company offered him nothing.

The star added that he’s happy to be with his wife, the new U.S. Women’s Champion, Chelsea Green. He said he knew he belonged there.

“I would love to be with (Chelsea) (in WWE). Whether we’re on camera or not, I think we’re better together. I want to be there, not just because she’s there, but because I belong there .I knew I belonged there,” he added. (Tel: F4W Online)

Cardona said in an interview that despite reports that he had received a contract from AEW, that was not the case. He said he also enjoyed working there.

The star made it clear he’d love to have a career in WWE and early warning aircraft.
