The left-handed batsman played a vital role in the tournament, scoring 133 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 114.65, including a crucial 27-run cameo in the final against South Africa.
Despite Dube’s contribution, his absence has left many questioning the rationale behind the selection committee’s decision.“What happened to Shivam Dube? He was part of the T20 World Cup-winning team but now he suddenly fell out of sight.” Chopra said. He stressed that while competition for the batting spot is fierce, Dube’s previous performances provide him with another opportunity to prove himself.
