Al Hilal is prepared to offer Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah a lucrative contract if he wants to leave Europe to play in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi champions are looking for a high-profile signing to replace Neymar.
Neymar’s contract expires at the end of the season and Al Hilal could make Salah one of the stars of the expanded Club World Cup in the United States in June and July.
Salah is set to become a free agent this summer and has been free to speak to foreign clubs since the start of this month.
In August 2023, Liverpool rejected the Etihad’s £150 million offer for Salah.
Turki Alalshikh, one of the most influential figures in Saudi Arabian sport, posted a photo of a model of Salah wearing an Al Hilal shirt on Facebook yesterday.
Al-Arasheh is the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority and is close to the kingdom’s de facto ruler Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Al-Alasheh masterminded Saudi Arabia’s huge investment in boxing, but he is also known to have links to Al Hilal.
Salah, who turns 33 in June, believes he is still in peak condition and can continue to play at the highest level in Europe.

“For Salah and Saudi Arabia, it’s a case of being bitten once and being frightened for ten years. Saudi Arabia tried to sign Salah 18 months ago.
“The Etihad offer, which was supposed to be as high as £150m, was rejected and Salah decided to stay at Liverpool. Since then they have been very cautious in considering another move for Salah.”
“We have been told that if Salah wants to go to Saudi Arabia, his representatives need to get in touch and they will make it happen. They want Salah to play in the Saudi professional league.
“Al Hilal are the current champions and the biggest club and Neymar’s contract expires at the end of the season. They are looking for a replacement. His time there has not gone as planned. But they will only if Salah I feel it’s time to leave Europe before I take action.”

“I’m happy they’re doing well and I’m texting with Arne (Slot) and some of the players. There’s 0.1 per cent that I think I should stay there because they’re doing so well.
“I’m watching as many games as I can because it’s such good football and probably the most balanced team in the world at the moment.
“I’m glad I’m not responsible for answering those questions right now, and from my perspective I would have liked all three of those guys to have their terms extended, but they didn’t tell me that.”
