Trump will save TikTok if a viable deal is on the table, top adviser says

Donald Trump’s new national security adviser, Mike Waltz, says the future US president will take measures to keep TikTok from going offline, as a possible ban threatens. A law requiring Chinese TikTok owner ByteDance to either sell its US operations or face a ban takes effect on Sunday, unless struck down by the US Supreme Court. Meanwhile, many of the app’s 170 million US users have flocked to another Chinese social media platform, RedNote.
