Liverpool Women 2 – 1 Brighton Women


Liverpool recorded their first home win of the Women’s Super League season, beating Brighton 2-1 thanks to Jorelyn Carabali’s late own goal.

Nikita Parris canceled out Liverpool’s record signing Olivia Smith’s first-half opener but Brighton defender Carabali fired the ball home net to end the game.

Matt Beard’s side, who have not won a home league game since moving to St Helens Stadium from Prenton Park, recorded their third WSL win of the season.

Brighton, who are pushing for a top-four finish this season, almost opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Liverpool goalkeeper Teagan Micah was involved in a mix-up controlling a back pass and teammate Grace Fisk put it away. Danger.
