The new Syrian leaders are counting on the reintegration of the remnants of the Assad regime




Syria’s new leadership has seized abandoned military houses previously occupied by former high-ranking soldiers who fled after the ouster of longtime ruler Bashar al-Assad. But questions remain about how to repatriate the large number of low-ranking ex-soldiers who do not have the means to relocate.
