Six Palestinians killed in Israeli operation in Jenin

At least six Palestinians have been killed and 35 injured after Israeli security forces launched a large-scale operation in Jenin, the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israeli army, police and Shin Bet security services had launched a “massive and significant” operation in Jenin to “eradicate terrorism.”

Palestinian media reported that Israeli soldiers entered Jenin and its refugee camp on Tuesday morning following multiple drone strikes.

The move follows weeks of Palestinian security forces targeting armed groups in the camp, which they see as a challenge to their authority.
