“Even Trump understands: The way to peace in the Middle East, reconciliation is through a two-state solution”




US President Donald Trump was not convinced that the Gaza ceasefire agreement would hold, despite trumpeting his diplomacy to secure it before his inauguration. Still, the real estate tycoon turned populist politician believed Gaza could see a “fantastic” reconstruction if the plan goes ahead. For a deeper analysis and perspective on Trump’s Middle East policy, FRANCE 24’s Mark Owen welcomes Bilal Y. Saab, Chatham House Middle East and North Africa Program Fellow.
