Michael Vaughan predicts India vs England series score


Former cricketer Michael Vaughan has predicted the winner of the upcoming five-match T20I series between the Indian cricket team and England cricket team. Michael Vaughan backs Jos Buttler-led side to dominate Suryakumar Yadav-led side and score in thrilling T20I series victory.

The T20I series will kick off on Wednesday, January 22, in Kolkata. Subsequent matches will be held in Chennai, Rajkot, Pune and Mumbai. This will be the first time since 2021 that the two teams will play a five-match T20I series. India won 3-2 in the last encounter in Ahmedabad four years ago.

Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has highlighted the importance of the T20I series against England. He said this series is crucial for head coach Gautam Gambhir, especially after India’s recent consecutive Test series losses in New Zealand and Australia and the ODI series in Sri Lanka.

“Let’s hope he (Gautam Gambhir) can feel a bit settled and the pressure is off. He will have a new set of young players and it might be an easier challenge for him than what he faced in Australia. So. , it is important to win these games,” Manjrekar told ESPNcricinfo.

“It will just make him feel part of the team but what happens with the Champions Trophy and the tour of England could undo all the good work he could have done before. So, that’s two games,” Manjrekar said additional.

India and England will face off in three-match ODI series after T20Is

After the T20I series, India and England will play a three-match ODI series. After that, the two teams will travel to Dubai and Pakistan respectively to compete for the 2025 International ICC Champions Trophy.

Competition will begin on February 19th, with the finals scheduled for March 9th. Rohit Sharma-led India will take on Bangladesh on February 20 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The England team will play their first match in Lahore on February 22.
