Israel has also established buffer zones about a kilometer inside the Gaza fence, as well as within the Nezarim corridor that bisects northern Gaza, and along the Philadelphi corridor, a stretch of land along Gaza’s border with Egypt.

Large tracts of land in these areas were razed to the ground.
