Today’s Xbox Developer Direct included in the announcement of Ninja Gaiden 4. Apart from the news of Rageboundthe series has been quiet for the last 13 years, and there is a mix of new and old in the latest entry.
The protagonist is a new character named Yakumo, a member of the Raven Clan, who will fight in a dystopian Tokyo. Long-time fans of the games will be happy to see that Ryu Hayabusa is back and will play an important role.
The new game developed by Team Ninja and Japanese Action Game Specialist Platinumgames (known as Bayonetta and Neir: Automata). Ninja Gaiden 4 features all the exciting expectations you expect from a 3D action game, with aerial battle action. Yakumo also has travel skills such as riding on rails, going around gaps and wall running.
The game is due out in the fall of 2025, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one. It will also launch on the Xbox Series | S, PC and PlayStation 5.
As an added treat, Team Ninja also dropped a surprise remaster on Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. This new version of the 2008 game is now available on Xbox and PC.
