Colombia agreed to expel flights to the United States suspended tariffs on the United States


The White House said that after Colombia agreed to accept the deported immigrants without restrictions, the United States would not continue to impose tariffs on Colombia.

After Colombian President banned two US military expelction on Sunday, Donald Trump ordered a 25% tariff on all Columbia goods.

Colombian President Gustov Petro initially responded that Colombia would accept “the deportee on civil aircraft, rather than regarding them as criminals.”

The White House stated that Colombia has now agreed to accept immigrants from the U.S. military aircraft without restrictions or delay. Colombia said Washington has agreed to give a return to citizens with dignity.

On Sunday, Petro refused to take the US military expelction to enter the country, saying that immigrants should return to “dignity and respect”.

In response, Trump’s post on his social media website Truth Social announced the “emergency and decisive revenge measures”, including tariffs and visa sanctions.

Petra responded on X, announcing his tariffs and celebrating Columbia’s tradition and toughness.

“Your blockade did not scare me, because in addition to being a beautiful country, Colombia is the center of the world,” he said.

Within a few hours, the two sides seemed to resolve the dispute. The White House said Columbia has agreed to “all the requirements of President Trump.”

The White House said that Trump’s tariffs have been “drafted completely.” If Colombia does not comply with the agreement, Trump’s tariff proposal will still be implemented.

Trump has also announced a visa sanctions and strengthened the inspection of the Border Colombian. The White House said that these facilities will continue to be retained, “until the first Batch of Colombia was expelled, it was successfully returned.”
