Changes to House budget resolution were approved Saturday after the Senate approved a series of hours of amendment votes, with Democrats trying to record Republicans Tariffs and other issues and the Ministry of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

It is unclear that House conservatives will accept the Senate plan, although it is similar to the framework of the House of Commons.
The Senate bid for permanently extending Trump’s tax cuts may be one of the biggest arguments.

The Republican majority of the House Budget Committee wrote on X before the Senate launched its voting series: “Cutting taxes without cutting spending does not lower taxes, which simply transfers the tax burden to our children. We have a chance to pass on generations — perhaps our last — to keep our fiscal house organized.”
After the matching framework passes the House and Senate, relevant congressional committees will begin filling it in policy and spending changes within their jurisdiction.
Trump expressed support for the Senate framework earlier this week and said in an unrelated event: “If we do that, it will be the most incredible bill in our Congressional history.”
