A lot of home security technology is focused on the front door. At CES 2025, we saw home security companies planning to combine it all in one device. The result? Smart video locks from brands like Lockly and TCL that does a little bit of everything.
These locks monitor door access and allow keypad passes, fingerprints or even Apple Home Keys like the best smart locks environment. However, like the best video doorbellsthe locks also have high-resolution cameras that can detect people, send alerts to your phone and enable two-way communication from apps. And instead of connecting to a third-party screen, they have built-in lock displays so you can see who’s approaching the door, without the need for a peephole or other devices.
Lockly’s Vision Prestige is a particular standout here with its touchscreen keypad and Apple compatibility, but when it arrives later this year you’ll have to shell out $500 for this all-in-one security tech.
