Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 earbuds are on sale $180 via Amazon. This is the first serious discount of the year and represents a savings of 28 percent. It’s not a record-low, but it’s pretty close.

The AirPods Pro 2 earbuds have made a real name for themselves since the original launch back in 2022. They quickly made our list of best wireless earbudsand with good reason. It’s a marked improvement over the previous iteration in almost every way. The sound quality is great and the earbuds now have active noise cancellation.

In our official review, we gathered particular praise for the transparency mode. It sounds very natural, especially compared to some of the rival earbuds out there. You can leave the AirPods on during a real-life conversation and likely won’t even notice you’re wearing them. Other features include ultra-fast pairing with Apple devices, hands-free Siri and spatial audio.

A recent software update as well leading to reduced wireless audio latencywhich should be good for mobile gaming. Another benefit for players? Voice quality gets an uptick, thanks to 16-bit, 48kHz audio during live chats.

The main issue with these earbuds is the price, which is mitigated a bit by the current sale. As a minor gripe, the touch gestures take a little practice to get right, but it’s not rocket science.
