The trio of weekend winners return with a busy two days of action, including a top quality card from Ascot.
Also joined by host Kate Tracey bet victor’s Sam Boswell and at a horse race Declan Ricks will discuss the remainder of the weekend’s games after giving up the Kempton Lanzarote Handicap.
The team first looked at bet365 Handicap Chaseat Ascot on Saturday at 2.15pm – live sky sports racing…
Host Kate Tracey…
“This is a great game. The morphological line between Kotmask and Martator really interests me, but I’ll go with Kurt Mask. Hopefully he can build on his success at Ascot over two miles and three furlongs a month ago. Despite generally making a few mistakes, he manages to find his way of doing things so that as long as his jockeys sit tight, they can still show good form.
“Same as the 130 last time, with improved distance, he improved slightly and got a well-deserved success. Here he faced his old rival Martator, who beat him on his reappearance, even in Kotmask’s penultimate start beat him further and he (Kotmask) clearly had enough to find, but when you look at it, considering what the jockey said, Kotmask was going to get 15 from Martator at that time. lb. here, so I think he’s going to turn that form around.”
At the racetrack Declan Rix…
“It’s a competitive game! I love it Phlegm I wonder if this was the plan for this horse trained by Dan Skelton. He has dropped from 16 to 50 in four starts this year, after falling from 6 to 15/2 at Ascot. He was also a decent drifter behind Victorino last time but there were signs of life that day and he was dropping down the handicap.
“It’s a £100,000 race with the winner taking home £52,000 and I wonder – as Skeltons is an excellent target trainer – if this race has been a target. The drop in the trip will suit him and he’s in Nine runs at Ascot without a win but he was in good form and he ran for 132 minus three off Tristan Durrell’s 3lb – So he’s very accessible.”
BetVictor’s Sam Boswell…
“I expect my choices will shift to higher prices, but I would participate again bad – and sometimes it actually lives up to its name. We all know it can be a little difficult when he gets to the front, but going back like this will help.
“The added travel will help and I think there’s enough stuff to go with him in terms of speed. My plan is that some guys will take him to the races and the blinders are on the way and that might lead to a little bit of improvement you have to have Confidence, if nothing else, he seems to have a good run here and I’m ready to go again for him.
