After Real Madrid’s win on Saturday, Barcelona were looking to keep pace with the La Liga leaders against Valencia.
Elsewhere, both Milan clubs were in action.
AC Milan faced Parma at the San Siro, while Inter traveled to Lacy.

Barcelona beat Valencia 7-1 in a thrilling La Liga encounter. The hosts took the lead after just 145 seconds, Frankie de Jong heading home from Lamin Yamal’s lovely cross. Ferran Torres doubled the advantage moments later, converting Alex Balde’s cross with a superb finish.
Unrelenting Barcelona pressure saw Rafinha round the goalkeeper to make it 3-0, before Fermin Lopez added a stunning fourth with a powerful strike into the top corner. The rout of the first half was completed just before the break when Fermin pounced on the rebound to net his second, leaving Valencia shell-shocked and trailing 5-0 at the interval.
Valencia rallied briefly in the second half as Hugo Duro pulled one back with a sharp finish from Diego Lopez’s assist. However, Barcelona quickly extinguished any hope of a comeback. Substitute Robert Lewandowski slotted home to make it six, before Cesar Terega’s own goal sealed the emphatic victory.

AC Milan secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Parma in a dramatic Serie A clash at the San Siro.
The visitors took an early lead in the 24th minute when Matteo Cancellieri capitalized on a defensive slip by Theo Hernandez to curl a stunning effort into the bottom corner. Milan thought they had equalized minutes later through Alvaro Morata, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Parity was restored in the 37th minute after Parma keeper Chijioke Suzuki fouled Strahinja Pavlovic in the box. Christian Pulisic converted the resulting penalty into the bottom corner with a confident strike.
The second half remained tense until the 80th minute, when Enrico del Prato capitalized on a rebound to put Parma back in front. However, Milan’s persistence paid off in stoppage time. Tijani Rangers scored the equalizer in the 92nd minute off a precise pass from Yunus Musah.
Minutes later, Samuel Chukwueze headed home Pavlovic’s header past Suzuki to seal the victory. The win moves Milan to seventh, while Parma is 16th.

Inter Milan put in a commanding performance to close the gap on Serie A leaders Napoli with a 4-0 victory over Lacy.
David Fratessi opened the scoring in the sixth minute, volleying home after a stunning solo run and assist from Marcus Thuram. The Nerazzurri dominated the opening proceedings, although two more goals were disallowed for offside. Lautaro Martinez doubled the lead in the 39th minute with a stunning strike into the top corner.
Lacey showed promise early in the second half but were undone in the 57th minute when Denzel Dumfries smashed home a third from a narrow-angle following Martinez’s assist. Substitute Mehdi Taremi made an immediate impact after Fratesi was fouled by goalkeeper Vladimiro Falcone, converting the penalty after just four minutes.
