The Bears reportedly recently contacted the Steelers about the possibility of getting permission to speak with the Super Bowl-winning coach and potentially execute a trade. Sources told ESPN that the Steelers declined the request.

Tomlin, who is believed to have not received the conversation, recently responded to a question about potential trade offers from other teams by simply saying, “Save your time.” Tomlin’s contract reportedly includes a no-trade clause.

The Steelers finished the regular season with a 10-7 record, giving Tomlin his record of never finishing below .500. However, the team ended the season with four straight losses.
