Netflix: Netflix is so popular that it has become a generic term for streaming in the same way as “Magic Marker” or even “Coke” in the South. Then there’s the ever-popular “Netflix and chill.” Ad supported current plans start at $7 a monthand the service offers thousands of TV shows and movies, including original TV series like Black Mirror and Stranger Things (note that you’ll need to trade up to the $15.50 plan to watch some contents). Then there is Original movies on Netflix including Oscar winners Rome and The Power of the Dog.
Main Video: The “other” major streaming service, which is included as part of the $139 annual Prime Membership, or on its own for $9 a month. The interface is not as user-friendly as Netflix, but the service also offers performances that are not its rival, including original content such as The Rings of PowerThe Wonderful Mrs. Maisel and The Clearing. There is also Amazon Prime the ability to add premium channels (HBO and Showtime and others), making it a potential one-stop shop.

Peacock: The Peacock is NBC’s answer to Paramount Plus. Its main claim to fame is that its basic level, with 7,500 hours of content, is free. Peacock Premium unlocks more content for $8 a month — including exclusive features like Poker Face and Mrs. Davis — while the ad-lite version called Peacock Premium Plus is $14 per month.
