
The lightweight Deonte’Lay Em Down’Brown easily beat Dennis’Martillo’ Contreras in an eight-round unanimous decision Friday night at Red Owl Boxing Arena in Houston, Texas.
Nearly three years later, Southpaw Brown beat Southpaw Brown with an eight-round decision and 16-0 (11) to Contreras 24-18-1 (22).
In the first two rounds, Brown used a good pun as Contreras, holding it with both hands, with little reward. In the third round, Contreras kept coming forward and walked into his fist from the faster brown hand. In the fourth round, Brown crashed Contreras into the canvas within the last few seconds, but referee Joe Rodriguez called it a sliding.
In the seventh round, Contreras waved the brown in the corner, and when he came in, he combined the chin of Contreras who could not handle the speed of the brown hand. In the last few seconds, Contreras finally gained a pair of rights.
In the eighth and final round, until the last half minute, Contreras lowered his left hook and knocked down the brown mouthpiece.
The scores are 80-72, 80-72 and 80-72.
In the joint event, Javier Martinez, Jr., lost 7-2 (4) to Wayne’s “beautiful boy Bam’Lawrence,” 8-1 (4).
In the first round, Martinez returned nearly three years later, with Lawrence in the closest round. Both fight with the same record. It was all Martinez in the second round, although referee James Green warned twice to keep them in shape.
In the third round, Martinez never stopped throwing his punches, mostly a huge right as Lawrence tied him together throughout the round.
In the fourth round, Martinez was warned as he hit the head twice in the championship. Martinez’s other round. Lawrence had only poked. In the fifth round, Lawrence continued to poke and catch Martinez without warning, but Martinez surpassed him. In the sixth and final rounds, referee Green eventually warned Lawrence to hold on for a row. Martinez won another round with constant punching.
Lawrence scored 59-55, Martinez scored 58-56, and Lawrence scored 58-56. Martinez 60-54 kh.
The lightweight Gabriela’Sosa’Tellez, 4-0 (1), stopped Steel’Ellis’ Lindsey’Ellis’ Hands of Steel’Ellis in 0:31 in the second round of the 4×2 round.
Tellez spread all over Ellis in the first round, bringing her to the ring. At the last minute, the right hand drew blood from Ellis’ nose. Tellez was unprepared for the defense in the ropes in the second round when referee James Green stopped wisely.
Welterweight Southpaw Alex Donis (1-0) beat Andrew’Durango Kid’Flamm (1-1) from the canvas with a consistent decision of four rounds.
In the first round, a head clash caused a cut in Flam’s left eyebrow. In the second round, Flam from the chin dropped Donis and received eight votes from referee Joseph Rodriguez. Donnis’ nose was bleeding.
In the third round, Donnis came back well enough to play. In the fourth and final round, Flam cut his right eyebrows from his right eyebrows, and Donnis’s right eyebrows were eliminated Flam.
The scores are 38-37, 38-37 and 38-37.
