Fury, 36, announced the news in a video posted on Instagram.

“Hi everyone, I’m going to keep this short and sweet. I want to announce my retirement from boxing,” Fury said. “This was awesome, I loved every minute of it, and I’m going to end with this: Dick Turpin wearing a mask. God bless you all, and see you on the other side.”
It’s unclear why Fury mentioned Turpin. This Englishman was an 18th century highway robber and horse thief.

Frank Warren, a boxing promoter who worked with Fury, told the BBC he had not spoken to Fury before his retirement.
“If that’s what he wants to do, that’s great. He’s done everything he can. Probably the best British heavyweight of his generation so far,” Warren told BBC radio. “Two world champions, two great fights with Usyk. He’s got a lot of money, he’s got his smarts, he’s got a lovely family.”
