Brentford 0 – 1 Plymouth

Morgan Whittaker’s late solo goal helped Plymouth, the bottom team in the English Championship, defeat Premier League Brentford 1-0 in the third round of the FA Cup.

Plymouth, who sacked Wayne Rooney on New Year’s Eve and have not won a game since November 5, face an FA Cup third-round tie against a sluggish Bees side under the new Argyle boss. In front of coach Miron Musrich, Musrich attended the Gtech game. Community Stadium.

Thomas Frank’s side failed to make an impact in the top flight and brought on Brian Mbemo and Ioane Visa in the second half to try and break the deadlock.
