Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has ruptured his Achilles tendon again and will need another surgery to repair it, according to a new report.
Watson originally Torn Achilles tendon on October 20.
Browns general manager Andrew Berry said during a press conference this week that the quarterback suffered a setback and tests revealed a new tear, NFL Network reported.

The surgery puts Watson’s status for the 2025 season into question.

The team holds the second overall pick in the draft and will have the opportunity to select top quarterback prospects Shaddell Sanders or Cam Ward if Tennessee Titans Don’t draft either of them with the first pick.
The Watson trade a few years ago stymied the Browns, who gave up a ton of draft capital and signed him for a hefty price.

In addition to the draft capital the Browns provided the Texans, they also signed Watson to a five-year, fully guaranteed contract worth $230 million.

In three seasons with the team, Watson played in 19 games.
Two seasons ago, Watson was suspended for 11 games after more than 20 women accused him of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior during scheduled massages.
Before getting injured this season, Watson was struggling on the court.
