Chadian presidency ‘calm’ after ‘attempted destabilisation’, says government spokesman




The situation in Chad’s presidency was fully under control on Wednesday evening, a government spokesman said, after gunshots were heard near the presidential complex. Gunmen reportedly stormed inside the compound while tanks were spotted on the streets of the capital and all roads leading to the presidency were blocked.
