China says markets have published after Trump tariffs spark stock rout

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that the “market has been published” after the U.S. imposed new tariffs and called on the White House to weaken the escalating trade war through “equal consultations.”

He called on the White House to resolve differences with trading partners through “equal consultation.”

A White House spokesperson did not immediately comment when CNBC contacted.

US President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that as part of the “reciprocal tariff” policy, distant new taxes, including 10% tariffs on nearly every country, many people’s tariffs on many countries.
