Chris Eubank Jr believes that the £100,000 fine to slap Conor Benn with an egg is too “steep”.
Eubank and Benn will fight all-UK at Totterham Hotspur Stadium on April 26 Sky Sports box office.
At the first press conference to announce the battle, Eubank smashed an egg and tugged it into an open palm and entered Benn’s head, the occasion was swallowed by a chaotic scene.
In response to the egg incident, the British Boxing Commission fined Eubank Jr £100,000.
Eubank’s team has shown that they intend to attract the ruling.
In with Sky movementJr Eubank said: “We are dealing with this situation. The £100,000 throwing eggs seems a bit powerful.
“Especially looking at things that others have been fined for events that seem to be more serious over the years. I don’t think anyone is close to a £100,000 fine. The tables are thrown and people are being slapped in the face, slapped in the face.
“The 100k egg, it’s steep,” he concluded. “We’ll handle the situation.”
Ben Shalom, the sponsor of Eubank JR, told Sky movement He “has no choice but to appeal.”
Ben burst into anger after the egg incident and the two camps must be safely separated.
This is not the first time the couple has clashed. The sons of big rivals Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank, who were originally scheduled for 2022. Benn’s temporary suspension has now been lifted and he is well aware of the box in the UK.
During this time, the hatred between the two fighters became even more vicious. Benn had been furious with Eubank JR before and after the recent fight in October.
While reflecting on Benn, Eubank told Sky movement: “He is an enterprising person. He is an exciting person. He doesn’t know how to stay calm. How to be collected. How to think before speaking.
“He is his father’s son. They are a little guy.”
