CNN host accuses Biden of ‘ridiculous’ claim Kamala Harris could have defeated Trump


CNN host Jake Tapper tearing apart president biden On Sunday, he called the suggestion that Vice President Kamala Harris could have defeated President-elect Donald Trump “ridiculous” in a recent conversation with reporters.

“Well, first of all, do I think Kamala is going to beat Trump? She ran against him and she lost, so that’s just nonsense,” Tapper said on “State of the Union.”

Biden told reporters on Friday that his decision to withdraw was more about uniting the party, saying: “I think Kamala could have defeated Trump, could have defeated Trump.” According to media reports. Biden has said many times that he believes in himself will win against Trump in the general election.

The CNN host added: “I think he’s been trying to change his mind over the last few months, basically mocking her.”

Democratic congressman who opposes Biden citing ‘failure’ defends decision: ‘Defense’

Former Biden communications aide Kate Bedingfield appeared to defend the president and said he may be trying to give Harris “credit” for her strong campaign.

“I think I would have defeated Trump, could have defeated Trump. I think Kamala could have defeated Trump, could have defeated Trump. It’s not — I think it’s important to unite the party. And when the party Worrying about whether I would be able to act, I thought, even though I thought I could win again, I thought Fine Gael would be better,” Biden told reporters on Friday.

Bedingfield said Tapper’s analysis was unfair, saying: “I think what he was trying to do was acknowledge that she had a great game and that he was proud of her. That’s how he expressed it.”

“Why am I saying that his statement is completely crazy and he could have won the 2024 election if he had stayed in the race? Look here,” Enten added.

He then showed polling data before and after Biden dropped out of the race, particularly in the Great Lakes battleground states, where “Donald Trump was leading in all three states.”
