Cuba will release more than 550 prisoners after they were removed from the US terrorist list




After outgoing US President Joe Biden removed Cuba from Washington’s list of state sponsors of terrorism on Tuesday, the US-sanctioned country announced a deal it had agreed with the Catholic Church to free 553 prisoners – including jailed protesters and other “political prisoners”.
