Ongoing Championship Team Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 Announced. Eight BBL coaches have selected a special team that includes some standout players who have excelled in the competition and performed well.
David Warner leads special teams
Two players from BBL|14 finalists Hobart Hurricanes have advanced: Mitchell Owen and Tim David. leading run scorer Cooper Connolly Players from Perth Scorchers also earned a spot in the squad. sydney thunder David Warner was appointed as the captain of this special team, and at the same time Sam Billings Act as a goalkeeper. Warner is the second-highest run-getter in the Championship and brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the squad, adding extra depth to the lineup.
It is worth noting that five of the 12 members of the squad are still in contention for the BBL|14 title when the Sixers take on the Thunder in the first BBL Final (Challengers) Sydney Derby at the SCG on Friday. The thrilling match will see the two teams battle it out for a spot in the finals, with the winner going on to face the Hurricanes in next Monday’s much-anticipated championship showdown.
