Dozens of Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza in the past 24 hours, targeting residential and temporary tents.
According to Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary, the main focus of the attack was the southern city of Khan Younis, where Israeli troops attacked residences and makeshift tents.
Jamal Al-Mdhoun, a resident of Khan Younis, told Al Jazeera how he survived the early morning bombing, blowing up the houses of at least nine people.
“We fell asleep peacefully… Suddenly, the house was leveled and the roof landed on the heads of innocent women and children. Missiles that were enough to bring the mountain to the ashes were fired by children,” he said.
“We took out eight bodies, all women and children – not one man,” he added. “They made false claims (they were targeting fighters). All were lies. Their goal was to kill anyone’s Muslim identity. Those innocent women and children were blown up.”
