LSG’s latest spin bowling feel Digvesh Rathi was once again punished for violating the IPL code of conduct against the Mumbai Indians at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
This is not the first time Digvesh Rathi has been fined for his antics in a game this year in the IPL. Earlier, he was fined for distributing to opening batsman Priyansh Arya in a match between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Punjab Kings.

Digvesh was fined 5 million INR and accumulated two points as LSG celebrated Naman Dhir’s wicket at the home match against the Mumbai Indians at Lucknow, celebrating Naman Dhir’s wicket at the LSG.
Digvesh committed an offense that was his second-level offense this season, and the game referee felt the young spinner violated the IPL’s code of conduct that crossed the line during the celebration.
Why is Digvesh Rathi fined?
In the ninth, Digvesh Rathi broke the dangerous partnership between Naman Dhir and Suryakumar Yadav, handing his team to the big break.
It was a fast speed leg that broke Naman Dhir’s defense and pushed his stump down. Given the context of the game’s situation, it’s a huge wicket, and Rathi has no doubt about it.
He brought his trademark “notebook” celebration and gave it to Mi batsman. It was a crucial moment in the game, as Dhir was fired for only 24 goals for 46 hot matches.
This is not the first time that I have been fined for violating the IPL Code of Conduct. LSG Spinner was fined 25% of the game costs earlier and was sentenced to a fine for violating the rules in a match against the Punjab Kings.
After firing opener Priyansh Arya, Digvesh made a move to his Delhi Premier League teammate by hosting a trademark “laptop” celebration. His antics were not good at playing the match referee and he was fined.
A wonderful match with the ball
Despite the fine, Digvesh Rathi was a great game and proved to be a game changer for his team. He picked up Naman Dhir’s goal and won 1-21 with a brilliant bowling championship in four knockouts.
Although not a single LSG bowler admitted less than 40 times in this game, Digvesh’s numbers proved to be the difference between his team’s game. It turns out that he has a hard time reading the opposition batsman and cannot attack him.
His performance was ruled as the player in the game. Finally, the Lucknow Super Giants won the game with 12 runs and won the thriller in the five-time champion Mumbai Indians.
