Everton Women 1 – 1 Aston Villa Women

Viatrichi Sarri’s late equalizer earned Everton a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in the Women’s Super League at Walton Hall Park.

Villa are still searching for a permanent manager, with Sean Gott remaining in interim charge, and Villa took the lead in the 31st minute.

Defender Noel Maritz sent a long pass from the right, and Rachel Daly collected it and headed the ball past home goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan into the bottom corner.

However, Everton scored a dramatic equalizer in the 89th minute when Sarri received the ball on the edge of the penalty area and drilled the ball into the bottom right corner.

The draw leaves both sides with 10 points from 11 games in the WSL.
