Factbox-US companies tweak diversity policies as challenges mount By Reuters


(Reuters) – Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: ) and Amazon.com (NASDAQ: ) have joined a growing number of U.S. companies in lowering their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) standards, which are intended to improve racial representation. and ethnicity in the workplace against the backdrop of increasing pressure from conservative groups.

At least six major US companies, including JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:), have changed their DEI policies in the past year, according to a Reuters review of corporate statements.

Here is a list of companies dropping the DEI program or changing some policies in 2024:

Starbucks (NASDAQ:) In March, the coffee giant’s shareholders voted

for an executive compensation plan that falls
