When I heard my friend and colleague Calley meant Robert Kennedy, a consultant to Truemed’s co-founder and Secretary of Health and Human Services, I couldn’t believe my ears.
Apparently, that room full of health care lobbyists and partisan critics doesn’t want to hear the truth: U.S. health policy in its current form is an absolute failure. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the world’s largest health bureaucracy that requires overhaul and requires rapid progress.
HHS began laying off 10,000 federal employees (including entrenched officials from agencies such as the FDA, NIH and CMS), and Calley encountered a rebound on Wednesday, which faced 24 hours as they presided over the U.S. health collapse.
Kali means reforming American health care
Shortly after Secretary Kennedy announced the reorganization, former FDA Commissioner Dr. Robert Califf came on his LinkedIn page and said “We already know it’s done with the FDA.”
Thankfully, it’s done.
Decades of ineffectiveness allow our food and chemical companies to flood our food systems with new chemicals without third-party supervision or necessary safety research.
Decades of outdated regulatory actions have allowed U.S. companies to poison us with ingredients not used in other countries – for example, artificial food dyes associated with ADHD and Cancer in animal studies.
Decades of insufficient nutritional standards have allowed infant formulas to use the first ingredient – “corn syrup solids” – a form of adding refined sugar – to newborn babies.
If our health authorities work, we will not be the most disgusting developed country on the planet. We don’t explode with obesity, infertility and depression. Facts are better than boos.
We need a comprehensive overhaul of how our regulators operate. We need to replace old thinking. We need new personnel, who are not full of conflicts of interest. We need gold star science, which will put us in a difficult situation and how to solve the root cause of it.
Our government’s malpractice failure fails to protect human health, there are countless examples – but now with the President Donald Trump Secretary Kennedy’s bold vision for reversing chronic diseases, we have a historical turning point that has never been seen before.
What Kali said at the summit is not complicated: the people who help cause this crisis should not be the ones who are responding. However, when he pointed out that the United States has “the sickest child in developed countries”, it is shameful to face reality reforms, which is hostile.
He argued that Secretary Kennedy was doing some voters, especially Maha Mom like me – demanding: to remove the entrenched bureaucracy based on deep-rooted bureaucracy, they label independent experts as Quacks, punish dissent, and put aside chronic diseases with high rates of chronic diseases – ignoring the fact that food is a drug. As Kali said, otherwise what he did was “tell Maha’s ticket and voice was not legal.”
People vote for change. Not for smaller adjustments – for structural damage. That’s why Maha’s mom was ridiculed. I understand anger. But I also understand what is endangered.
If our health authorities work, we will not be the most disgusting developed country on the planet. We won’t Obesity explosion rateinfertility and depression. Facts are better than boos.

And let’s be clear: this is not the first time that reforms have made the elite uncomfortable. Calley is a warrior I’ve never met before. He is doing what the real reformers have been doing – facing institutions that protect themselves at all costs. He has an army Maha Mom Behind him.

I am one of them. As a longtime food activist and founder of the Food Baby movement, I spent more than a decade challenging the same health institutions that are reforming now. I’ll talk directly to Maha’s mother White House Promoting this effort – Women who watch children with chronic diseases are simply struggling by institutions designed to protect them.

These are not the sounds of the edges. They demand accountability, transparency, and the rewards of common sense in public health. I am honored to stand with them.
I traveled the whole country with Calley to address the efforts of the food industry to do what we do – testify in various states that want to reform outdated policies that allow harmful chemicals in our food and make Americans sick.

This moment is related to optics. It’s about the results – whether American children are healthier in five years. Does the family feel considered and serve Public health agenciess. Whether the government finally starts to prioritize prevention over drug profits.
Kali should not apologize for prioritizing American health with bureaucratic pride. He shouldn’t be backing off because the insider is uncomfortable. He is part of a team that builds a more exquisite, transparent and well-known HHS. And, if I tell the truth, let him boo again, I have a feeling that he will take the microphone every time.
