Chris Johnson, one of nine players to rush for 2,000 yards in a season, wants the team to draft two-way Colorado star Travis Hunter.

“I want Hunter. I want Travis. Will Levis, we just got him. I think Will is going to end up being a good quarterback,” Johnson told TMZ Sports. “Sometimes it takes time. You look at some of these quarterbacks, like Jordan Love and some of the others. They’ve had time to sit down and learn. Like, a couple years to sit down and learn. So, I feel like he’s going to come in his own state.
“I just don’t think you do what we did in previous years where we had Levi’s and then two cheap guys. I think we should go in and see what Will Levi can do for us. Let’s get Travis Coming in… I think we’d be foolish if we passed on Travis at No. 2.”

Johnson said he expects Hunter to be able to focus on playing corner while also playing receiver in certain combinations. Hunter also won the best receiver and best defensive player awards for the 2024 season.
Hunter has said he would be willing to play both, but many experts predict he will be more comfortable on defense.
Levis struggled during his two seasons in the NFL. In 20 games, he completed just 61.2 percent of his passes, throwing 20 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. At second, they could select Hunter’s quarterback, Sherdel Sandersor Cam Ward.

Hunter just beat Ashton Jeanty to win the Heisman Trophy, the closest vote since 2009. Both Hunter and Sanders are considered early picks in April.
