Andrew McDonald calls India’s Sam Constellation celebrations ‘intimidating’
One of the best moments was when Sam Konstas fought Jasprit Bumrah in the final match of day one. The fast bowler was bowling to Usman Khawaja and the Australian youngster was in the non-striker position and he attacked the Indian captain who then approached him and said something talk.
One ball later, Jasprit Bumrah removed Usman Khawaja and what caught the attention of many was the celebrations of the Indian national cricket team. When India ended the day on a high, the entire team turned on Sam Constellation and celebrated wildly around him.
Australia’s national cricket team head coach Andrew McDonald then spoke about the Indian team’s celebrations. He said it was intimidating for the Indian national cricket team to take a chance on Sam Constellation.
When Usman Khawaja took time out, he had no right to talk to Jasprit Bumrah – Gautam Gambhir on Sam Sam Konstas
Replying to Andrew McDonald, Gautam Gambhir said there is nothing to fear. He also lashed out at Sam Konstath, saying the young batsman had no right to be associated with Jasprit Bumla. He explained in an interview with reporters:
“Look, this is a tough sport played by tough guys. You can’t be that weak. Keep it as simple as possible. I don’t think there’s anything intimidating about it.
“I think it’s just… Usman Khawaja doesn’t have the right to talk to Jasprit Bumrah when he needs time. He doesn’t have the right, There is no obligation to deal with Jasprit Bumrah, that’s the job of the umpire who might be batting at the end,” Gautam Gambhir said.
I think whatever happened is history – Gautam Gambhir’s fight with Virat Kohli and Sam Konstas
Gautam Gambhir also spoke about the battle between Virat Kohli and Sam Konstas during the MCG Test. He said the sport is played by tough guys and there is nothing wrong with that and Australian players have done the same thing in the past. He elaborated:
“I think what happened is history. What happened has happened. Like I said, this is a tough sport played by strong people. These things happen. I don’t think we need to ask a lot of big questions and These incidents are not the only ones taking place in this city.
“It’s happened in the past. A lot of Australian players have done it. A lot of Australian players have done it in the past. So, I think we just continue to ask big questions about these things.”
