The Palestinian paramedic, who was present in an incident in which 15 of his colleagues were killed in southern Gaza last month, said he testified to the Israeli troops that fired on vehicles in an emergency that he later saw blood stains.

After a few days of the uncertainty of the accommodation of paramedics, the red crescent and the United Nations officers found bodies of 15 emergency and auxiliary workers buried in a mass grave in southern Gaza, accusing Israeli forces of killing them. Another worker is still missing.

Munther Abed, the volunteer of the Palestinian Society of the Red Crescent, said he responded to a call with two colleagues near Rafah, in the lane of southern Gaza, on March 2, when Israeli soldiers detained him just before they opened fire on other emergency vehicles.

He said he failed to see exactly what happened when the soldiers opened the fire. But his account corresponds to the claims of the Palestinian Society of the Red Crescent and UN that Israeli troops were targeting emergency workers from the Red Cross, the Red Crescent, the UN -AI Palestinian Civil Emergency Service.

The Israeli army opened an investigation into an incident, which occurred on its account when unmarked vehicles approached the Israeli position in the dark without light or special markings and without prior coordination-creatures, which he said had seemed suspicious.

The army announced that the soldiers who opened the fire had killed numerous Hamas militants and Islamic jihad who traveled in vehicles marked by Palestine of the Red Crescent Palestine.

The red crescent describes Abed as the “lone surviving” incident, and the fate of the missing paramedic is still not clear.

Abed said he and his colleagues received an invitation to get out to help wounded people around dawn after an air strike in the al-Hashasheen area in Rafah, near the border with Egypt.

“We immediately moved, I and two other colleagues. As soon as we got there, we came under the fire and they detained us,” he told Reuters a phone from his house in Khan Younis, citing the shooting of Israeli soldiers.

After Abed was detained, he said he lost sight of his two colleagues.

While standing near the soldiers, he said he saw other ambulance vehicles approaching the position of Israeli soldiers.

“I could see a civilian vehicle. The soldiers started shooting at vehicles, they shot strongly,” he said. “It was dark and I couldn’t see what happened to the people there, but they (soldiers) shot strongly. They asked me to go down and shoot strongly. I felt like the bullets were hit personally.”

On Saturday, the Red Crescent issued a video obtained from a Paramedic cellphone that was found buried in a mass grave.

Recorded from a moving vehicle, it seems to show a clearly marked ambulance convoy and a fire truck that is a vehicle at dawn and red lights flash. After stopping by a vehicle that turned off the road, two rescue workers and another man can be seen before the shooting of the shooting is heard.

Reuters managed to check the video of the video near the Tal al-Sultan area, west of the city of Rafah in Rafah.

‘Blood on vehicles’

“They asked me where I was on October 7, they say that Palestinians were terrorists and we were all terrorists. They also asked many personal questions about me and my family,” he said. “I felt I would die.”

In the end, he said that the soldiers had done some checks before they decided to let him go.

A non -bastard farm, a spokesman for the Palestinian Society of the Red Crescent, confirmed that Abed works for an organization as a volunteer and that she is in Rafahua with a mission that day.

“He is a lone survivor, two colleagues who were with him were killed. There’s another colleague who is still missing,” the Farsak told Reuters.

“At that moment, he had no idea if his colleagues had tortured or were wounded and saved.”
