Stokes led England to 32 Test matches – 31 games were permanent captains, once standing on ex Joe Root – won 19, lost 12 times and got its name.
He also held responsibility for three ODIs in Pakistan in 2021, after he was landed on a revised squad, the initial group suffered a Covid-19 outbreak and he won every ODI.
The white ball summer in England begins on May 29 at Edgbaston against the West Indies until the T20 series against the same opposition begins on June 6.
