
Hoters CEO, Sal Melilli, joins “Fox & Friends” to discuss plans to return the brand to its roots as a “neighborhood restaurant”.
Despite the fact that Hoters recently presented the bankruptcy of Chapter 11, CEO Sal Melilli is assuring customers that the iconic restaurant will not disappear at any time.
In a March 31 press communicationThe chain announced a restructuring support agreement (RSA), allowing the company to manage its debts while keeping their doors open.
“This is a time of enormous turning for our brand. We couldn’t get excited more for our customers and employees,” Melilli said to “Fox & Friends” On Thursday. “The original owners are recovering the concept, returning it to their roots and restoring the success that was enjoyed for 42 years.”

As part of the company’s efforts to revitalize the iconic brand, Hooters is leaving aside the weekly bikini nights, including higher and highest quality ingredients in the menu and establishing a universal standard for waitress service.

In addition, the company plans to prioritize charity and community events, efforts that have been a fundamental part of Hoters’ identity since its founding in 1983.

Despite the controversial waitress uniforms of the restaurant, which have caused widespread criticism over the years, Melilli said that women and children are now forming most customers in some sites in Hoters.

“Some of our restaurants, we have 65% of our customers are women and children. We sponsor Little League teams, we sponsor sports teams. We really are a neighborhood restaurant that participates in their neighborhood,” said the CEO.

According to the CEO, the existing Hoolers restaurants will remain open to customers and will operate as business as usual during the restructuring process.
