Disney and FuboTV announced on Monday a planned merger of Hulu Live + TV and Fubo.
The two companies will form a combined multichannel virtual video programming distribution (MVPD) company that will “operate under the public company name Fubo,” the companies said.
Disney will have a 70% stake in Fubo.

The combination will “facilitate a better choice of programming packages and address a variety of consumer preferences at attractive prices,” according to Disney and Fubo.
After the deal ends, consumers will still have the option to get it Fubo and Hulu + Live TV as “separate deals,” the companies also said.
