India opens the largest Hindu festival in the world for 400 million pilgrims




The Kumbh Mela festival in India opened on Monday, with huge crowds of Hindu pilgrims taking part in ritual baths at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. Organizers predict the world’s largest gathering of people, expecting around 400 million participants.
