The Renegades managed to chase down their target of 197 points with two overs remaining to move away from the bottom of the BBL standings. The win boosted their net rating to positive, keeping their hopes of a miraculous run to the finals alive.
Previously, Jack Wood made 45 of 27 shots and was the Heat’s scoring leader. Matt Renshaw hit 40 off 22 balls, including three consecutive sixes from Sutherland, and Tom Alsop also struck a quick 42 off 26 balls.
