India women’s national cricket team batsman Jemimah Rodrigues played a brilliant game with the bat in the second ODI match against Ireland women’s national cricket team. The match between the two teams was held at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Jemimah Rodrigues was the star player of the Indian women’s national cricket team against Ireland. The right-hand bowler delivered stunning power with the bat and ensured that she helped her team register a huge total in the virtual series decider.

Rodriguez cashed in on a top-order start with a walk-off hit at fourth. The middle-order batsman looked in good touch right from the start. She performed well with the bat and played some great shots during the innings, putting pressure on the Irish bowlers.
Rodriguez hit a full half-century first and, after that, there was no looking back. She attacked the bowlers of the Ireland women’s national cricket team and smashed them across the park. The wait for her maiden ton finally ended when she reached the 90-ball milestone.
Jemimah Rodrigues made her debut and what caught the attention of many was her celebration. She celebrated by taking off her helmet and playing the bat like a guitar. The Indian dressing room and support staff stood up and applauded the effort.

Jemimah Rodrigues returned to the hut in the final innings scoring 102 runs off 91 balls. The right-hander had a strike rate of over 112 and also hit 12 fours in the process. Her efforts helped the Indian women’s national cricket team score a total of 370 runs.

Talking about her innings, Jemima Rodriguez said it meant a lot to her as she had waited a long time to get the win. She said she wanted to be with the team until the end. She also talked about her 183 collaborations with Harleen Deol (89). After the game, she said:
“It means a lot. I’ve waited a long time to get this hundred. Most importantly, I’m happy that the team gave me the fourth spot and I was able to do it. The most important thing today is to For me, it’s going to be until the 50th game because I know I’m good at running the ball.
“But that’s what it’s like to bat to the end – that’s the thought process and I’m glad I was able to do that. A hundred balls just came out. Initially, it took me some time to get used to the conditions. I I know I could speed up at any time but it was important for me to stay there and Harleen kept telling me “keep racing, keep racing”.
